Featured Performers:
HopiToWa

Fountain Stage
HopiToWa is a Japanese and Hopi collaborative performance featuring spiritual, earth–grooving music.
Featuring Japanese musical artist Ken Koshio, seven-time world champion hoop dancer Derrick Suwaima Davis (Hopi), and Ryon Polequaptewa on flute and drums, HopiToWa brings its unique style to Peace and Community Day.
Darryl Tonemah
2–4 p.m
Fountain Stage
If The Eagles, Steve Earle, Dave Matthews, and James Taylor had a lovechild, they would have named him Darryl Tonemah. Tonemah (Kiowa/Comanche/Tuscarora) began writing songs in college, and since then, he has played thousands of shows, made numerous radio and television appearances, released six albums and created an international fan base.
Tonemah’s live shows—whether with a full band or an intimate acoustic set—always find him connecting with his audience. A singer/songwriter in the purest sense, Tonemah’s performances combine the energy of rock ’n’ roll, the intelligence of folk, and the heart of country, to create a musical niche he calls “Native Americana.” At times the trickster, at times the son, at times the father, at times the seeker, Tonemah is always the consummate storyteller who offers meaning where the listener needs to find it.
Guests are invited to bring a blanket to sit on the lawn or low-sitting lawn chairs to enjoy great food, friends, and free live performances. Delicious food from the grill, gourmet desserts, cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks are also available for purchase. Additionally, patrons can bring their own picnic baskets and pets to the park.
Schedule is subject to change. Events may be canceled due to inclement weather.
