Musical Theatre Masterclass with Laura Osnes

Laura Osnes one-night-only masterclass invites those not selected to participate and other musical theatre students and teachers to attend as observers.

About the Masterclass:
Tony®-winning Broadway star Laura Osnes will work directly with six participants on audition technique and song interpretation. Selected participants will break down their song material with one-on-one coaching in front of our observer audience. At the end of the session, participants will have the opportunity to be part of a Q&A with Osnes.
Only six students between the ages of 17 to 25 will be chosen to participate in the one-on-one workshop on Thursday, Jan. 23. To be considered for this opportunity send an email with your resume and video by Jan. 20 to [email protected]. Please include a short note with why you’d like to be chosen to participate and what you hope to get from this experience. The selected participants will be contacted by Jan. 22. Those selected will be asked to pay a $75 fee, which helps cover the cost of the piano accompanist and staffing that night. Scholarship support based on need may be requested.

Observe the Masterclass:
You can observe Tony®-winning Broadway star Laura Osnes lead a special one-night-only Musical Theatre Masterclass from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 in the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Stage 2. Audience members will observe Osnes work directly with six participants on audition technique and song interpretation. Selected participants will break down their song material with one-on-one coaching in front of our observer audience. At the end of the session, participants will have the opportunity to be part of a Q&A with Osnes.

This masterclass is open to observers. Those not chosen to participate in the one-on-one workshop and other musical theatre students and teachers are more than welcome to attend as observers. Tickets to observe this class are $20 per person. Seating is limited.
