About the Event

Everyone has a story to tell—especially now! Are you Interested in exploring and crafting your life stories? Join us for the spring Life Stories virtual workshop series! 

Life Stories is an eight-part workshop for writers of all experience levels (including none). Using prompts, open-ended inquiries, and exercises, you’ll capture imagery from your memory and learn the techniques to move those memories onto the page. If you have always wanted to write, if you feel you have a story or a book in you, or if you simply want to move your writing to the next level, the Life Stories workshop will help get you there. 


Linda Pressman

Linda Pressman is a freelance writer, editor, instructor, and author. She wrote Looking Up: A Memoir of Sisters, Survivors and Skokie, which won the Grand Prize in the Writer’s Digest writing contest and is housed in the permanent collections at Yad Vashem, the U.S. Holocaust Museum, and the National Library of Israel. Her freelance work has appeared in KvellerBrainChild MagazineMotherwell MagazineSix Hens, and the Phoenix Jewish News, among others. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in English and is presently completing her second memoir.
